If your iPhone is crawling at a slow place, this weird iOS glitch will make your phone feel much faster.

For the most part, the iPhone is an amazingly fast phone. I used to think my OnePlus 2 was fast, but when I switched over to the iPhone 6s, I was blown away by its speed. It was like going from night to day. But then someone told me how much faster it would be if I were to jailbreak it.

Apple does this thing where it beautifies iOS with springboard animations. You can see it anytime you launch an app. Sometime’s it’s so obvious because it lags the phone down to a crawl. Thankfully, the team over at 9to5Mac recently discovered a glitch in iOS where zaps away those animations entirely.

Here’s how to kill off those animations to make your iPhone faster:

First head on over into Settings and then General > Accessibility. Under the Interaction label, tap on Assistive Touch.

This is where things get a little tricky. Watching the video above will give you a better understanding, but we’ll try our best below:

Drag the transparent icon that appears on your screen up to the bottom right corner. From here, activate Spotlight search by swiping down on your screen quickly. Once the icon places itself above the keyboard, close the Spotlight search. Repeat this process until you see that Spotlight is drastically faster. If you’ve done this correctly, springboard animations have been eliminated from you iPhone.

Keep in mind, this only stays in place until you reboot your phone. Once rebooted, you’ll have to repeat the process all over again.
