Amazon is now offering multiple tiers of its popular Amazon Prime membership, starting as low as $8.99 per month.
Amazon Prime is one of the best deals in tech today. You get free 2-day shipping on Amazon purchases, access to Prime video and music, and more. Sure, it’s $99 for the year, but if you’re someone who buys a lot of stuff online, it’s a no-brainer.
Although all the features sound exciting, I still know a lot of people who opt out of paying the year subscription because at the end of the day, it’s still $99.
Well, if you’ve held back due to price, Amazon will now be offering a standalone options for different parts of its Prime service.
Here’s some of the key takeaways:
- The standalone Prime Video service will cost $8.99 a month.
- Free 2-day shipping will cost $10.99 a month ($131.88 over the course of a year.)
- The best value is the traditional $99 Prime membership
You can still sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime right here on Amazon’s site.
I’m an Amazon Prime member and I can’t begin to tell how you how much of a value it has been for me. However, if you’re someone who doesn’t normally buy a lot of stuff online, then that $8.99 option seems more up your alley.
