If you’ve spent all of your money on friends and family for the holiday season but are looking for some new games to play in December, Microsoft has you covered with this month’s free Games with Gold for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Also, don’t forget, but you have to have an active Xbox Live Gold account to continue to enjoy the games. Check out December’s titles below.
Free Games with Gold in December
December’s free games are actually very solid with Q.U.B.E. 2 and Never Alone headlining this month. Q.U.B.E. 2 is a first-person puzzler that has you manipulating – you guessed it – cubes around the map to get to the next level. While early levels might seem simplistic, the difficulty continues to ramp up at a very solid pace.
Never Alone is a gorgeous puzzle platformer and based on a traditional Iñupiaq tale. The game was even nominated for various awards, even winning a Games for Change award in 2015. Never Alone is available for download between December 16th and January 15th.
More games in December
In addition to the two highlighted above, two older games are also available for Xbox 360 gamers (can also be played on Xbox One). Those titles are the great Dragon Age II and the classic (to me) Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. Mercenaries will be available on December 16th for download.
