LocatR is the solution absent-minded people have been looking for
LocatR is the only device on that market that provides GPS and cellular technology to help you better find your lost stuff.
If you’re like me, losing something when you really need it is part of your daily routine. Just ask my girlfriend; she’ll be able to tell you about the panic I go into when I can’t find my keys. Seriously, if you want to see someone acting like a 9 year-old, come find me anytime I misplace my smartphone. Though it’s something I can’t seem to help, I’m sure I’m not the only one in this boat.
Luckily for people like me and others alike, there are solutions that not only prevent us from misplacing the things we tend to lose so that they don’t get lost, but also locate the stuff that already has been lost or misplaced. Products such as Tile and TrackR have been around for a couple of years now, but their technology is somewhat limited. The way these guys work is pretty self-explanatory. Place a sensor on something you value. If it gets lost or stolen, pull out the mobile app accompanied with the sensor, and the app tells you exactly where it is, in most cases.
However, there’s a slight problem with this: Tile and TrackR both run off your phone’s Bluetooth – making it so that you have to be within 100 ft of the device in order to locate it, or have someone walk by your list item with the app open.
For most people this just doesn’t work, which is why the good people over at LocatR invented a sensor that doesn’t rely on a traditional bluetooth connection like Tile and TrackR, but rather utilizes GPS and cellular technology. This gives users the ability to track down an item wherever it is, and wherever they are, which is something the other players can’t offer.
LocatR can be used for multiple applications. You can put it on your bike, a purse, a laptop, smartphone, and countless other things of high-value. At the end of the day, you put it on stuff that you don’t want lost. Although slapping these sensors on items you hold dear is cool and all, LocatR can be used for countless other applications, especially in the enterprise and business fields.
Some notable features:
