T-Mobile wants to put a mini LTE cell tower in your house

If you have shoddy cell service in your home, T-Mobile wants to put a mini LTE cell tower in your home.

Legere 2

Over the past couple of years, T-Mobile has done everything in its power to cram LTE coverage in every part of its coverage map, but if you’re someone who lives in a cellular dead zone, that doesn’t help you much.

So to bring LTE coverage in areas that typically don’t see any sort of cell service at all, the company is launching a 4G LTE CellSpot that promises LTE calling and data. All users need is a LTE-compatible phone and a broadband internet connection.

To get one of these LTE CellSpot’s, you’ll have cough up a $25 deposit and be enlisted in the company’s Simple Choice plan. The device will be available starting November 4th in participating stores and through T-Mobile’s customer care department. To learn more, click here.
