It’s no secret that iPhone’s take some of the best pictures, thanks to it’s amazing camera. But sometimes even that isn’t enough. Which is why DxO One, a new accessory that attaches to your iPhone, promises to bring DSLR-quality photos to your smartphone.

The device, which looks like one of those old Sony camcorders, attaches to the bottom of your iPhone or iPad using the Lightning Port. If you were to ask me, this seems a whole lot easier than carrying a traditional DSLR camera.

This small gadget packs a lot too. The camera comes equipped with a f/1.8 lens and a 20 megapixel, 1-inch sensor. It even comes with its own MicroSD slot.

Here’s Darrell Etherington of TechCrunch breaking it down with some of the more technical details:

The DxO ONE has manually adjustable aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, complete with the kinds of picture modes you’d see on a DSLR or micro four-thirds camera, and it can also capture video at 1080p/30fps, or at 720p/120fps for slow-motion effects. There’s a microSD card built-in for storage, and you can directly capture to your iPhone’s Camera Roll, too.

Here’s an example of one the pictures taken by the DxO ONE:
