How Apolosign helped me manage my chaotic family schedule
Apolosign’s digital calendar system will upgrade your family organization with its dual-mode feature, chore points system, and portable TV convenience.
Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.
I’ll be honest—keeping track of everyone’s schedules in my house was a mess. My partner had stuff in Google Calendar. I used a paper planner. The kids had school assignments scattered across different apps.
We kept missing things. Piano lessons, dentist appointments, whose turn it was to walk the dog.
Then I came across Apolosign’s digital calendar system during their Black Friday sale last year. I figured I’d give it a shot since they were running decent discounts on their lineup.

The digital calendar is where it started
I mounted the 21.5″ digital calendar in our kitchen. That’s where everyone passes through at least three times a day, so it made sense.
Setup took maybe 20 minutes. I synced it with Google Calendar, my partner’s Outlook, and the school district’s calendar feed.
Suddenly everything was in one place. The screen shows the whole week at a glance, color-coded by person.
The thing that surprised me was the dual-mode feature. You can switch between pure calendar view and an Android dashboard where you customize widgets.
I keep weather, grocery lists, and our meal planner visible. My partner added stock widgets and news. The kids mostly ignore those parts, but they check their chore lists.
A versatile family command center available in 15.6", 21.5", and 27" sizes, featuring the world's first Dual-Mode system that switches between an immersive Calendar Mode for schedules and routines, and Android Mode for apps, widgets, and smart home control. It syncs across family devices, and includes a points-based reward system for kids.
- Dual-mode flexibility lets one device handle both family scheduling and entertainment
- Cross-device calendar syncing reduces miscommunication and missed appointments
- Built-in rewards system motivates children to complete tasks and build time management skills
- Multiple size options and mounting choices fit any room in your home
The chore situation got better
Look, I’m not going to pretend my kids suddenly love doing chores. But Apolosign has this points system built in.
They complete a task, they get points. Rack up enough points, they can trade them for rewards we set up—extra screen time, picking the movie on Friday night, stuff like that.
Does it work perfectly? No. But it works better than nagging them every single day.
The assignments sync to their phones too through the Apolosign app. So when they’re at a friend’s house, they can check what they need to do when they get home.

Adding the portable TV made sense for us
A few months in, I grabbed one of their 32″ portable TVs. It’s basically a big Android screen on wheels with a battery.
I know that sounds weird, but hear me out.
We use it as a second calendar display that moves around. Battery lasts about 6 hours, which is plenty.
Morning routine? It’s in the kitchen showing everyone’s schedule while we’re making breakfast and packing lunches. Afternoons? I roll it to the living room.
The kids use it for homework videos or Khan Academy. I’ll throw on a cooking video while I’m prepping dinner. My partner takes video calls on it when the office is occupied.
It syncs with the wall calendar, so everyone sees the same schedule and tasks. The points system carries over too.
A battery-powered smart screen available in 24" and 32" (with 1080P or 4K options) that combines entertainment with family organization through pre-installed calendar functionality. The high-capacity battery enables room-to-room movement, and you get app installation, Google Calendar integration, and video conferencing alongside traditional TV viewing.
- True portability with built-in battery means no outlet hunting when moving between rooms
- Pre-installed calendar app provides at-a-glance schedule viewing anywhere in your home
- Full Android functionality supports streaming, video calls, and productivity apps
- Dual-purpose design eliminates the need for separate entertainment and organization devices
What actually works about this setup
The calendar synchronization is solid. When I add something on my phone, it shows up on both screens within seconds.
No subscriptions for the basic features. That was a selling point for me because I’m tired of everything charging monthly fees.
The screens are bright enough to see in daylight but dim automatically at night. I don’t wake up to a glowing screen at 2 AM.
Voice control through Google Assistant works when I remember to use it. “Hey Google, what’s on the schedule tomorrow” gets me the rundown while I’m doing dishes.
The photo frame is great, too
Both devices can display photos from Google Photos. We have them rotating through family pictures when nobody’s actively using the calendar.
It’s nice. Guests comment on it. Grandparents like seeing recent photos when they visit.
There’s a privacy swipe feature that instantly covers your schedule with photos if someone comes over and you don’t want them seeing your whole life on the wall.
A compact 10-inch frame with 2K resolution that stands out with its built-in neon light border, creating a striking visual statement piece. Beyond standard photo display, it supports short video playback and offers both desktop and wall-mount installation, combining decorative appeal with multimedia functionality in a space-efficient design.
- Built-in neon light frame creates an eye-catching modern aesthetic
- 2K resolution delivers sharp, detailed images in a compact 10" size
- Video playback capability adds motion and life to your memory displays
- Compact footprint fits easily on desks, shelves, or small wall spaces
What could be better
Battery life is a bit short: The portable TV’s battery only lasts about 6–8 hours, so it can’t run all day. If you use it from morning to evening, you’ll likely need to recharge, which isn’t ideal for full-day mobility.
Limited remote control compatibility: I noticed that some streaming apps don’t work well with the remote.
The Apolosign portable TV is basically a large Android tablet—the remote works smoothly for the main menu and system functions, but some third-party apps don’t fully support it, so you sometimes have to use the touchscreen instead.

Black Friday is when to buy this stuff
They’re running Black Friday deals right now.
The Black Friday promotion offers $50 off orders over $200 without needing a discount code. The promotion runs from November 20th to December 2nd.
This is a significant discount, the best price of the year. Take advantage of this opportunity to place your order now!
The digital calendar is available in three sizes: 15.6″, 21.5″, and 27″, with the 27″ model supporting both 1080p and 4K Ultra HD resolution, making it suitable for everything from a compact kitchen wall to a large living room display.
Portable TVs come in 24″ and 32″. The 32″ is what we have. They offer 1080P and 4K versions.
They also make digital photo frames if you just want something smaller for a desk or nightstand. The neon light frame is pretty cool looking.
The standard frames work great on a nightstand or desk – perfect for keeping family photos visible while you work or before bed.

The Neon Light Digital Photo Frame supports the Frameo app; the 10.1″ and 15.6″ digital photo frames support the Nixplay app, so grandparents can receive photos instantly when the kids do something cute.
The neon light frame is the standout option. It uses AI to detect the dominant colors in your photos and adjusts the RGB light ring around the frame to match.
So a beach sunset gets warm orange tones, winter photos get cool blues – that kind of thing. Makes photos pop in a way regular frames can’t, and it’s compact enough for a desk or bookshelf without taking over the space.
All of them have 32GB built-in storage and support sleep mode scheduling, so they’re not glowing all night if you don’t want them to.
Worth it for busy families
If your family is all over the place with schedules, this setup helps. It’s not magic. You still have to actually put stuff in the calendar.
But having everything visible in common areas makes a difference. Fewer “I didn’t know about that” conversations.
The factory-direct pricing means you’re not paying retail markups. Founded in 2008, they cut out middlemen, which keeps costs reasonable.
Over a million households use their stuff apparently. I can see why after using it for almost a year.
Apolosign is a factory-direct family display brand founded in 2008, eliminating middlemen markups to deliver honest pricing on home electronics. Specializing in Portable TVs and Digital Calendars for organized family living, they now serve over one million households. Black Friday deals are live now through December 2 with limited-time discounts across all products.
The deals run through December 2, so you’ve got some time. But if you’re trying to get organized before the holidays hit, now’s the time.
