Android users rejoice! Periscope, one of the hottest live-streaming video apps being utilized by millions of iOS users is finally being launched on Android today. Thanks Twitter.
If you’re not familiar with the app, Periscope allows you to broadcast live video streams to friends and followers in your network. It’s fun and it’s really simple to use.
The Android version of the app essentially has all the same features you’ll find on iOS, but with a few more Android unique features. Some of the new stuff you’ll find on Android includes a more detailed notifications center, and a “Return to Broadcast” feature that allows you to continue watching a stream after it’s been interrupted by a call or text.
The app is set to work on Android phones running on KitKat 4.4 or newer.
