It’s well known that the camera app shutter button on the iPhone isn’t the easiest to reach. This is especially true when you are trying to take a photo single-handedly. There is the volume button which can be used as an alternative, but that is not all that more convenient. However, there is another way to take a picture on your iPhone that you may not be aware.

There are two volume buttons on your iPhone headphones that can act as shutter buttons. This means that you can take a picture with one hand while holding the phone with the other. This also works with the video and will allow you to hold your iPhone fully up with one hand while keeping your headphones at your side with the other so you can snap pictures.

In fact, you do not even need to be holding your iPhone as it can be propped up somewhere while you use your headphones as a wired remote. This means that you can get really creative when it comes to taking photographs. At the very least, it saves you from awkward moments of trying to hold and operate the iPhone with two hands just to reach the shutter buttons. Instead, by having your headphones attached you can make taking a picture a lot easier.
