If the $99 Amazon Prime price tag has held you back from purchasing, Amazon has something up their sleeves for you this weekend.
Amazon is pumped about its pair of Mozart in the Jungle Golden Globes victories last Sunday. In fact, they’re so pumped the company is dropping the price of Amazon Prime memberships this weekend to $73, down from the normal price of $99 — from 9PM PT Friday until 11:59PM local time Sunday night.
Of course, this promotion is aimed at new Prime members only. However, when there’s a will, there’s a way. The best work around this is purchasing a gift subscription and saving it for whenever your own existing membership is set to expire. Head to this page over the weekend to take advantage of Amazon’s brief offer. It sounds confusing, but it totally works.
On top of all the goodies like free two-day shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, and other benefits, the company recently announced that Prime members can now take advantage of 20% off brand new video games even after their release. Amazon Prime benefits keep stacking up, so it’s definitely worth trying it out when the price drops.
