Anthropic just released a massive upgrade to Claude that lets it integrate with pretty much everything you use. The company launched two major features: Integrations and Advanced Research. I’ll explain more about that in a bit.

The headline feature here is Anthropic’s “Integrations,” which is corporate-speak for “Claude can now stick its nose into all your apps.”

We’re talking Jira, Confluence, Zapier, and a whole bunch of other corporate tools that make up the backbone of modern work life.

Think of it as giving Claude an all-access backstage pass to your professional world

But here’s where it gets interesting (or concerning): Claude can now spend up to 45 minutes researching stuff across your connected apps and the web.

Right out of the gate, Claude’s playing nice with ten major services:

  • Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence (for all you project management nerds)
  • Zapier (because who doesn’t love automation?)
  • Cloudflare (keeping it secure, I guess)
  • Intercom (customer service just got interesting)
  • Asana, Linear, Square, Sentry, PayPal, and Plaid

Claude gets its own Advanced Research feature

Claude’s new “Advanced Research” mode lets it break down complex questions into smaller chunks, dive deep into hundreds of sources, and come back with a fully cited report.

Sure, it comes with citations and transparency features, but it’s still a bit like letting a very smart stranger read your diary, work emails, and shopping history all at once.

If you’re already on Claude’s Max, Team, or Enterprise plans, you can start playing with these features in beta right now. Pro users will get access soon. And as an added bonus, web search is now available for all paid users.

Is it worth it? If you’re drowning in busywork and don’t mind sharing your life with an AI, Claude just became significantly more powerful. Just maybe don’t give it access to your dating apps. Yet.

For more details on security and privacy practices (because let’s face it, you probably should care about those), check out Anthropic’s docs on the MCP and Integrations feature here.

What’s your take on Claude’s new superpowers? Are you excited about AI getting cozy with your work apps, or does the thought of a 45-minute AI research session make you a bit nervous? Drop a comment below and let us know.
