Apple recalls Beats Pill XL speakers due to potential fire risk
Apple has issued a voluntary recall of its Bluetooth-connected Beats Pill XL wireless speakers due to a potential overheating risk.

If you or a friend own a Beats Pill XL bluetooth-connected speaker, keep reading because it could potentially prevent a fire. Apple is issuing a voluntary recall due to a problem where the speaker can overheat to the point where it bursts up into flames. Talk about a smoking speaker, huh?
According to its recall website, Apple issued this statement:
“Apple has determined that, in rare cases, the battery in the Beats Pill XL Speaker may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. If you have a Beats Pill XL Speaker, please stop using it.”
This affects all models of the speakers, including black, white, pink, metallic sky and titanium colors. Customers are eligible for a $325 refund or Apple store credit once the unit is returned back to Apple. Click here for more information to learn more.
