Apple has been rumored for years to be working on two big foldable devices: a foldable iPhone and a foldable iPad.

Now, a new report says Apple has decided to put the foldable iPad on hold so it can focus on getting the foldable iPhone ready first

This doesn’t mean the foldable iPad is canceled forever, just paused for now. But it shows Apple thinks the foldable iPhone is the bigger priority. (Via: Apple Insider)

The reason? People have been expecting Apple to release a folding iPhone for a while, especially since other companies like Samsung, Motorola, Oppo, and Honor are already selling foldable phones.

These companies have learned a lot from early mistakes, like screens that easily broke or hinges that let in dust.

Their latest foldables are thin, fast, and have fewer problems, like ugly screen creases. That’s making Apple look slow to join the foldable phone market.

Meanwhile, the idea of a foldable iPad, a tablet that folds like a laptop, doesn’t seem to have much demand.

Apple already sells regular iPads and MacBooks that people love. A foldable iPad could be confusing: Would it run iPad apps or Mac software?

And since foldable devices are expensive, there’s no guarantee people would rush to buy one.

Some experts think Apple waited because foldables used to have serious flaws, but many of those issues are now fixed by competitors.

Still, Apple likes to release products only when it thinks they’re perfect. That might explain the delay, or maybe Apple wants to make sure its foldable iPhone can stand out from the competition.

The foldable phone market is still niche, but Apple can’t afford to let high-end customers switch to Android because they want a foldable.

By focusing on the iPhone Fold, Apple hopes to keep those customers.

In the end, the company’s choice to pause the foldable iPad makes sense: it lets Apple put its energy into the product more people want right now while avoiding a risky, low-demand launch.
