Belkin just dropped a handy little dongle for anyone who’s sick of hunting for the right HDMI cable in a conference room or Airbnb.
Belkin’s new ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter lets you beam video from a USB‑C device to any HDMI screen without relying on Wi‑Fi, special apps, or drivers.
It’s basically a two-piece kit: a USB‑C transmitter that plugs into your laptop / tablet / phone, and an HDMI receiver that lives on the TV or projector.
Specs and features
- Up to 131 feet of range over a 5GHz wireless link, and it can still work through walls (with some hit to stability depending on thickness and materials).
- Supports up to 1080p at 60Hz, so this is more for slides, videos, and casual mirroring than pixel‑perfect 4K color work.
- Works anywhere you have USB‑C video out on the source and HDMI on the display; the HDMI side just needs USB‑A power.
Here’s the kicker: It caps out at 1080p/60, which will be a downgrade if you’re used to 4K HDR from a wired connection or streaming box.
Plus, if the TV or projector doesn’t have a spare USB‑A port, you’ll need to feed the receiver from a separate USB power brick and outlet.
Belkin says ConnectAir will ship in “select markets” in Q1 2026 for $149.99. That’s more than basic HDMI dongles and some streaming sticks, but this aims at people who want plug‑and‑play wireless mirroring that isn’t locked into AirPlay or Cast.
