The quick expansion of connected technologies has brought new efficiencies, but also new risks.

From vehicles that communicate with each other to medical devices linked to cloud platforms, cybersecurity has become a central concern for industries that rarely had to confront such issues.

In response to these challenges, C2A Security has entered the market as a unified solution provider. An Israeli cybersecurity firm founded in 2016 by Michael Dick, a former technology executive.

Over time, C2A Security has developed globally, supporting manufacturers and technology providers in integrating security into their products from the early development stages.

C2A Security began with a focus on the mobility and automotive sectors and industries that were among the first to face large-scale cybersecurity risks due to the rise of connected and autonomous vehicles.

The company’s early efforts were focused on protecting vehicles from software-related risks, such as hacking attempts on electronic control units (ECUs) and data manipulation within connected systems.

C2A expanded quickly into international markets, forming operations in Germany, the United States, and China.

The company also works in robotics, industrial technology, and other connected systems using its cybersecurity approach.

C2A Security is known for developing platforms that bring cybersecurity into the product development lifecycle.

AutoSec, introduced in 2020, was designed as a lifecycle management platform for automotive cybersecurity. It monitors and secures vehicles, assuring that they remain compliant with emerging regulatory standards while adapting to evolving threats.

EVSec, a more recent platform, takes a broader view of this topic. As a risk-based, AI-powered DevSecOps system, it integrates security directly into development workflows.

EVSec enables organizations to make security a continuous process by automatically checking for risks, modeling threats, handling incidents, and keeping audit records.

Both platforms are designed to support international regulations such as UN Regulation No. 155, which addresses vehicle cybersecurity, and ISO/SAE 21434, which provides a system for automotive cybersecurity engineering.

Following these standards is becoming more important for manufacturers who want to sell products in different regions.

In 2024, C2A Security achieved a major milestone after signing a partnership with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) to provide end-to-end cyber protection through its EVSec platform.

This partnership reinforced C2A Security’s position as a reliable partner in enabling global automakers meet advanced cybersecurity regulations.

The company has built collaborations with a range of global businesses, including vehicle manufacturers, tier-1 suppliers, and technology firms.

Some names include Daimler Truck, BMW Group, Valeo, Siemens, NVIDIA, Deloitte, and Aptiv, as well as healthcare-focused organizations such as Medcrypt and Elekta.

In addition, C2A Security is an active participant in cybersecurity research and development communities.

Membership in organizations like the Automotive Security Research Group (ASRG) highlights its contribution to industry knowledge.

C2A Security’s expansion has been supported by external investment. In 2019, the company completed a Series A funding round, which provided resources for scaling its platforms and extending its reach into new industries.

Later funding rounds also brought in foreign investors.

The company’s contributions have been recognized through several international awards.

In recent years, C2A has received distinctions such as the Cybersecurity Breakthrough ML Innovator (2025), CLEPA Top Innovator in Product Security (2024), and the European Prize for Mobility (2023).

Earlier recognition includes the CES Innovation Awards (2022) and the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards (2021). These awards show not only technological achievement but also the growing importance of cybersecurity in product design and compliance.

As vehicles, healthcare devices, and industrial robots continue to evolve into software-defined products, the need for continuous cybersecurity management will only increase.

C2A Security’s growth from its early focus on automotive cybersecurity to its present role in multiple industries portrays how rapidly the field has developed.

Its contribution highlights that securing innovation is not only about responding to threats but also about creating structures where safety and compliance can coexist with technological progress.
