Edifier is scaling up its desktop audio lineup with the M90, a compact active speaker that bridges the gap between work-from-home setups and full home entertainment systems.
Launching at CES 2026, the M90 extends the success of the M60 with a more versatile feature set designed for anyone tired of choosing between desktop speakers and bigger audio solutions.
The Hardware
The M90 packs impressive specs for its size. You’re looking at 100W RMS of power spread across a two-way design: 4-inch long-throw aluminum drivers handling the mid-bass and 1-inch silk-dome tweeters for the highs.
That gets you up to 100dB SPL, meaning these things can fill a room without sounding thin or strained. Internally, a bi-amped design with 24-bit/96kHz DSP ensures your high-quality audio stays pristine.

Connectivity That Actually Matters
This is where the M90 gets interesting. Unlike most compact speakers, it ships with HDMI eARC built-in (the same input you’d find on premium soundbars).
That means zero lag for TV audio, gaming, and streaming without adapter headaches.
You also get Optical, USB-C, AUX, and Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC codec support for wireless high-resolution audio. There’s even a SUB OUT port if you want to pair it with an external subwoofer down the line.
Control Your Way
A rear knob handles source selection and volume, while a 2.4GHz remote lets you switch between inputs from across the room.
The Edifier ConneX app unlocks a 9-band EQ, three preset sound effects, and multipoint Bluetooth—useful if you’re juggling multiple devices throughout the day.
The Verdict
The M90 is Edifier’s answer to people who want better audio without upgrading their entire setup. Whether you’re swapping it between a desktop and TV, using it for gaming, or just tired of mediocre speakers, it’s worth paying attention to.
Edifier says the M90 will cost $369 and is expected to be available on Amazon around early March.
