Fallout 76 is free to play right now and yes it’s the full game

Bethesda’s throwing open the vault doors for Fallout 76 until December 23, and yeah, it’s actually completely free,according to Bethesda Softworks.

No trials, no bullshit, just the full game sitting there waiting for you to download from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store.

This freebie fest is perfectly timed with Fallout Season 2 dropping on Prime Video, because nothing says “synergy” like letting people actually play the game while they’re hyped about the show.

And here’s the kicker: all your progress carries over if you decide to buy the full game later. No starting from scratch, no lost loot—everything you grind out is yours to keep.

Free Fallout 76 – Here’s what you get

You’re getting nearly everything the game has to offer, including the recent expansion featuring Walton Goggins’ character, The Ghoul, as an actual quest giver. That’s right, the show’s breakout star is now your post-apocalyptic BFF in-game.

Whether you’re a curious newcomer who’s been Fallout-curious since the show blew up, or a lapsed player wondering if Bethesda finally fixed all the launch drama (spoiler: they mostly did), now’s your chance to jump in risk-free.
