Google has announced a helpful new feature in Gmail called Manage subscriptions to help users clean up their inboxes more easily.

This tool is designed for anyone tired of being flooded with emails from newsletters, promotions, or retailers they no longer care about.

Instead of scrolling through dozens of emails trying to find and unsubscribe from each one manually, users can now manage all their subscription emails in one convenient place.

The new feature shows a list of active subscriptions, organized by the most frequent senders.

It even tells you how many emails you’ve received from each sender in recent weeks. When you click on a sender, you’ll see all emails from them.

If you want to unsubscribe, Gmail will handle it for you by sending an official unsubscribe request.

Gmail’s director of product, Chris Doan, explained that many people feel overwhelmed by the constant stream of subscription emails, whether it’s daily deals, weekly blog updates, or ads from stores you haven’t bought from in years.

This feature aims to simplify the process of getting rid of that email clutter.

To use the feature, users just need to click the navigation bar at the top-left corner of Gmail and choose Manage subscriptions. From there, everything is laid out clearly.

This new tool isn’t a complete surprise—some users saw it being tested earlier in the year.

It builds on Gmail’s earlier efforts to help users manage their inboxes, like the one-click unsubscribe button that rolled out last year.

The rollout begins July 9 on the web. Android users will start seeing it on July 14, and iOS users on July 21. It might take up to 15 days for the feature to reach everyone.

The tool will be available to anyone using Gmail, whether you have a personal account or are part of Google Workspace.

Looking forward to using this feature in Gmail? Do you see it helping you? Let’s talk below in the comments, or via our Twitter or Facebook.
