The days of having to press and hold a screen to view snaps and stories on Snapchat are over thanks to an update the company is rolling out today. Now you can just tap to view instead of holding down your grubby finger all over your screen when watching long snaps.

Another cool update that’s been added is a “nearby friends” feature that allows you to add new friends that are, well, nearby. Click on the new option and a list of people in your vicinity are displayed, allowing you to add friends or see who’s around you much easily.

Another “serious upgrade” has been made to Snapcodes where users can now add a selfie, making it easier for friends to identify a profile. Additionally, Snapcode screenshots can also be sent through Add Friends when you see the codes in other apps like Twitter or Facebook, for example.

The update rolls out today, keep your eyes peeled. To learn more, click here.
