Samsung just opened the floodgates for preorders on its new Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. Starting today, you can put money down on either device with an availability date of May 31st. Best Buy was the first retailer to open up U.S. preorders.
Prices on Best Buy or Samsung.com are starting around $724.99 for the 64GB unlocked S8 and $824.99 for the 64GB unlocked S8 Plus. You can pre-order both models in the “Midnight Black” color option. That’s about the cheapest price you’ll find for the S8, however, a lot of carriers are throwing in extra goodies if you order through them.
The good thing about buying an unlocked phone is that you don’t the unnecessary bloatware you usually find in carrier-locked Samsung devices.
