Finally, after 12 years in the making, Age of Empires is making a comeback

OMG!

If you’ve been patiently waiting for a new Age of Empires title to be released, you’re in luck, the wait is almost over. Today, Microsoft announced that they’re teaming up with developer Relic Entertainment to create Age of Empires IV. This is the first title they’re launching in almost 12 years.

“The new release looks set to potentially span more eras of history than its predecessors, with lots of different technological epochs shown in its announcement trailer,” writes Digital Trends.

Since the announcement trailer was posted just 24 hours ago, the video has accumulated more than two million views. This has a lot of people hyped, including yours truly.

Unfortunately, no release date has been has been set for Age of Empires IV. If we’re lucky, we’ll see it launched sometime before 2018. Fingers crossed. To learn more, click here.
