Google just dropped Pixel Care+, and honestly, it’s about damn time. If you’re one of those people who treats their phone like a hockey puck, this new protection plan might actually be worth your hard-earned cash.

The search giant is consolidating its messy lineup of protection plans—goodbye Pixel Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection—into one streamlined program that doesn’t completely suck.

Starting Wednesday, Pixel Care+ covers everything from your inevitable screen-shattering mishaps to those mysterious battery deaths that always happen right after your warranty expires.

Here’s the kicker: $0 screen and battery repairs. Zero. Zilch. Nada. That’s already better than most carrier protection rackets that charge you an arm and a leg just to fix what should’ve been built better in the first place.

The plan covers unlimited claims for accidental damage (because we know you’ll need them), uses genuine Google parts instead of sketchy knockoffs, and throws in priority support from actual Pixel experts—not some random call center drone reading from a script.

For the Pixel 10, you’re looking at $10 monthly or $199 for two years. Optional theft and loss coverage is available for the truly paranoid, plus you get fancy next-day shipping on replacements.

The catch? You’ve got 60 days from purchase to sign up, and it only covers Pixel 8 and newer devices, plus select watches and Fitbits. Claims can be filed through the Google Store or My Pixel App—no phone tag with customer service required.
