Do you remember the first time your parents let you drive the car in an empty parking lot somewhere? Well, this is kind of the same thing. The only difference being is that a car is doing all the driving with no human intervention.
Luckily, this 70-year old mother got the thrill or scare (whatever you want to call it) of a lifetime!
As you can see in the video, the car is traveling down a 2-lane road while engaged in Tesla’s autopilot mode. This allows the car to drive itself using the cameras placed around the vehicle. Unfortunately, mommy wasn’t having it. Here’s some memorable quote from this short and sweet video:
“Oh, there’s cars coming!”
“Bill, put me back so I can control it”
“This is my first day out and I’m going to die.”
I hear ya granny. Truth be told, if I recorded my mother in the same situation, I can assure you her reaction would be 10X more dramatic, especially given the fact that she doesn’t drive.
