Red Dead Redemption fans rejoice! Rockstar Games just announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally being released on October 26, 2018.
Here’s what the company said in a recent blog post:
We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish. We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.
Included in the blog post are seven new screenshots that highlight the game’s graphics, and boy, they look utterly amazing. Looks like the extra time Rockstar games took to polish the game really paid off.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally slated to launch this past fall on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At least now we know we have a solid date for launch. Hopefully, nothing changes. Check out the latest trailer below.
