Samsung’s been pushing foldable tech for years, but its latest phone-tablet hybrid, the Galaxy Z TriFold, pretty much blows the doors off everything that’s come before.

Officially unveiled this month, the Z TriFold is Samsung’s first production tri-folding smartphone, launching in Korea on December 12, 2025, with global markets to follow—including the US in early 2026.

Massive Display, Cutting-Edge Hardware

The TriFold marries a 6.5-inch cover screen with a full 10-inch AMOLED display when unfolded.

Both panels get seriously bright: up to 2,600 nits on the front, and 1,600 nits on the main screen, so you’re set for everything from full sun to pitch-black rooms.

The device runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 16GB RAM, and comes with either 512GB or 1TB of storage.

And yes, it’ll last you all day thanks to a 5,600 mAh battery, reports GSMArena.

If you care about cameras—the Z TriFold isn’t slouching there, either. It packs a 200MP main camera (triple lens on the back), designed to handle pretty much any crazy lighting you throw at it.

Real-World Feel: Solid, Not Flimsy

As for first impressions, a lot of hands-on reviews are calling out how snappy those new tri-folding hinges feel—solid, not wobbly, and somehow still sleek in the hand, even with all that screen .

Sure, it’s a bit heavy, but there’s no getting around that when you’re basically carrying around a small tablet that fits in your pocket.

Pricing and Availability

On price: the initial launch starts around $2,500 (KRW 3,590,400), making this a serious investment for the early adopters, but it’s already shaking up the high-end phone department.

Bottom line: This is the boldest folding phone Samsung’s shipped yet. If you thought dual-folds were wild, wait till you open this thing for the first time.
