Uber just made it hella easy to find your rider rating in its app

Easier rider ratings and updates to UberPool are all included in Uber’s update to its app.

Uber is continuing to make updates to their on-demand ride service app. Recently, the app pushed an update that made it easier to edit your pickup location and updated their community guidelines to go more in-depth on what could get riders banned from using the service. This latest round of updates deals with rider ratings and UberPool.

Uber rating

To find your own rating has never been an easy task to accomplish with Uber, at one point only being available by request. They eventually made their way into the app but were buried so deep down that many people never realized they were even there. That all changes with the new update, with customer ratings, displayed right under your name. “We hope this update will remind riders that mutual respect is an important part of our Community Guidelines,” Uber said in a recent blog post.

The other update involves the carpooling service, UberPool. When you up the number of riders, you up the variables, including how riders perceive their ride. The way it works now is when a rider rates the driver below 5-stars, they’ll be asked to further expand the reason for the rating through addition in-app reasons. If it pertains to something like “poor route” or annoyances with a co-rider, Uber will not count those hits against the driver.

While Uber seems to constantly be dealing with some sort of new legal issue or scandal, these new updates are welcome to the app. Maybe they’ll get it all together one day.
