Zelda: Breath of the Wild just got a much-needed update that improves frame rate

Nintendo just pushed out a crucial update that fixes Zelda: Breath of the Wild frame rate issues.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an amazing game, but it does have some caveats. One, in particular, is the game’s frame rate. In our review, we noted that “there are some HEAVY frame rate drops when you are playing.” For example, when you’re exploring the game’s environment, there are times the games lags and freezes.

Luckily, Nintendo issued an update last night that fixes these issues. YouTubers GameXplain put the update through some rigorous testing to see if the issues were actually addressed. They provide a head to head comparison that compares three locations, including the Korok Forest, before and after the patch.

Unfortunately, the test showed the frame rate issue wasn’t 100% resolved, but it does show some considerable improvements. Watch the video below or here to learn more.
