Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, possibly called the iPhone Fold, is expected to launch in 2026, according to well-known tech insider Mark Gurman.

He recently reaffirmed this timeline in his Bloomberg newsletter, aligning with earlier predictions from analyst Jeff Pu. BloombergHe recently reaffirmed this timeline in his Bloomberg newsletter, aligning with earlier predictions from analyst Jeff Pu.

Although Apple hasn’t officially announced the device, experts strongly believe it’s in development.

Since Apple has been secretive about the iPhone Fold, most of the information comes from leaks and speculation.

The iPhone Fold could be similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, which means it will likely fold in half like a book, revealing a large inner screen when opened.

Leaks suggest Apple is focusing on making the device super thin, which may affect its overall features, like camera quality.

It may come with a high-density battery, which could mean longer battery life compared to current iPhones.

It might use Apple’s C1 modem, a new in-house chip for better connectivity and performance.

The iPhone Fold is rumored to be Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet, possibly priced around $2,300. This would make it pricier than even the top-tier iPhone Pro Max models.

One big question is whether Apple will go all out with premium features or take a more cautious approach, like releasing it as an experimental device with slightly toned-down specs.

Some sources say the camera setup might be less advanced due to the phone’s slim design, but other brands like Oppo and Honor have managed to include strong cameras in foldables.

If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, the earliest official reveal might be during the company’s September 2025 iPhone event. Until then, we’ll have to rely on leaks and rumors.

However, the device isn’t expected to hit stores until 2026. Expect more details about the iPhone Fold to surface online before its official release.
