Apple is now selling Mophie’s AirPower-like charging station
Makes sense… I guess.
Apple’s AirPower charging station went MIA before eventually being canceled, but it looks like the company wanted to provide some sort of charging station for its customers.
So, instead of making their own, Apple is now selling the Mophie version of the AirPower dock.
Apple is selling the Mophie charging stands for its products
The Mophie charging pads come in two different configurations, depending on your needs. With the 2-in-1 version, you’re able to charge your Qi-enabled AirPods and iPhone on the mat and there’s also a USB-A port for adding an additional device.
Then there is the 3-in-1 option, which includes everything listed above, but also slaps an Apple Watch charger onto the stand.
The dual-charging pad runs $99, while the 3-in-1 will set you back $139. The price seems a little bit high for what you are getting if we’re being honest, but if you find yourself with a nightly need to charge any combination of these devices, then I could see it being worth it to you.
Apple had some additional plans for its AirPower charging station that isn’t present with the Mophie version – like only allowing one of each device to be charged, but most of that was just extra features, the core experience will be the same with the Mophie options.
