The DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has been announced and is now available to order. The consumer drone offers new features and improvements over the first model, which first launched in November 2016.
The second Phantom 4 Pro drone offers the latest OcuSync HD transmission for high-resolution and low-latency digital video transmission. In doing so, it connects to DJI Goggles Racing Edition (RE) wirelessly and supports automatic dual-frequency band switching. You can use your Goggles for an immersive flying experience and truly change the way you experience flying.
Perhaps the most important difference between the first and second Phantom 4 Pro drone is noise reduction. DJI claims the propeller noise on the new model has been reduced by 60 percent which is a welcome update for those familiar with DJI drones.
What hasn’t changed are the drone’s core features and specs. It still offers 30 minutes of flight time between battery charges, a transmission range of 7km, obstacle sensing, a 1-inch 20MP CMOS sensor, 4K/60p video recording, and 14fps burst mode for stills.
The DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is $1,499. For $2,048, you get the drone and a pair of DJI Goggles RE.
