Fancred, the world’s fastest growing sports social network, just announced on Tuesday the launch of “Your Fancred,” a new way to digitally store, share, and relive your sports memories in the form of a fan profile.

If you’re not familiar with the app, Fancred is a social media app focusing on capturing a user’s favorite sports moments using a familiar social media thread posting format. Think of it as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram all rolled into one, but for the sports fan.

What “Your Fancred” brings to the table is the ability to digitally capture and organize your favorite sports moments by favorite allegiances. This way, reliving and sharing your favorite sports moments is a breeze.

Here’s How it Works:

Once signed in using email or Facebook, simply begin building your fan profile by choosing your favorite teams and sports. Your Fancred automatically organizes and ranks all fan activity (photos, videos, conversations, articles and check-ins) into dedicated albums on your profile.

Hossein Kash Razzaghi, CEO of Fancred, stated in a recent press release:

“The sports industry is still in its infancy when it comes to fan engagement on mobile and social media,” said Fancred’s CEO, Hossein Kash Razzaghi. “The release of ‘Your Fancred’ really sets the tone for our company direction with a completely differentiated product and vision.”

Now keep in mind, this is just a new feature on top of their already successful platform. Fancred will continue to offer all of the same social features that have made them wildly popular, not to mention bringing them one step closer to their mission of building the complete sports fan network.

I personally think Fancred is on the right track here with this latest feature. I previously had chance to sit down with Hossein Kash Razzaghi sometime over the summer, and from what I was hearing, it seems like they have the right man at the helm of the ship.

Don’t take my word for it; their numbers speak for themselves. Since launching in 2012, the iOS and Android app, as well as the web client, have been rapidly gaining traction, growing its user base 10x over the last year and 50% month over month.

On top of that, they’re building partnerships with professional and collegiate sports teams, brands, and media organizations by giving you access to unique content and exclusives right through the app.

I believe Fancred and their whole team offer a lot of promise, and following a $3 million funding round, apparently I’m not the only one who thinks this.
