This insanely addictive game transforms your whole keyboard into the controller

Keyboard sports: the final tribute

In a time where new gadgets are invented every day, this is Humble Original’s final tribute to the keyboard before it becomes extinct.

Get ready to reacquaint yourself with your keyboard, because Keyboard Sports: The Final Tribute is ready to test your mettle.

Now, I haven’t honestly played the game yet, but will have plenty of time this Friday to try out the indie game that seems to have caught social media’s attention. The newest entry into the Humble Originals program, Keyboard Sports: The Final Tribute will be debuting with the November Humble Monthly Bundle.

I’ll bet you’re wondering why people have been talking about it, though? It’s a rare caliber of game that actually ventures out to do something a little out of the ordinary. You see, your keyboard is the controller for the game. No, not the WASD traditional controls, I’m talking about the whole damn keyboard. From what you can find online, Keyboard Sports: The Final Tribute forces you to truly find comfort on your keyboard, instead of hovering over QWER or the other ultra-traditional control schemes.

From what I understand, the version of the game that will be in the Humble Monthly Bundle does have its limitations with being what we could consider an “Early Access” version. Before you decide that this suddenly isn’t worth your time, a fully fleshed-out version of the game will be provided to anyone that jumps on early. So you can get back to considering springing on the bundle in the twilight hours of its eligibility.

With more and more games adopting controllers, Keyboard Sports: The Final Tribute looks to separate itself with pure stubbornness. Either way, the game looks great and I’m looking forward to diving in once my Humble Monthly Bundle unlocks at noon on Friday. Stardew Valley is the icing on the cake, but Keyboard Sports: The Final Tribute may be the hidden gem you didn’t expect.
