Apple, the company that undeniably killed the headphone jack is delaying the one piece of technology they made to replace it. Apple announced back in September that its new AirPods would be released sometime at the end of October.
Well, in an embarrassing turn of events, Apple says they’re not quite near its deadline. Apparently, Apple needs a “little more time” reports TechCrunch.
Here’s the full statement an Apple spokesperson gave to TechCrunch:
The early response to AirPods has been incredible. We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers.
The company didn’t provide a statement as to when the headphones would finally be released.
