Apple’s latest iPhone X is the king of it all. The 10th-anniversary phone has been praised to no end, and even its critics have come around to love it. From the controversial notch to the all-screen display, what could be better?
Looks and physical attributes are only one portion of a device, and the other is software and speed. So far, the iPhone X has lead the pack in this as well with its impressive A11 Bionic processor. However, with the recent iOS 11 release, the phone hasn’t been able to accomplish its ultimate potential. With iOS, there are RAM management issues. You won’t be able to notice this as it’s operating system. Apple has been working to correct these issues, but so far there hasn’t been any success in the matter.
With Apple slowing down to fix the RAM management problems, Android took the advantage and has officially taken the spot as the fastest smartphone with the OnePlus 5T. Youtube channel EverythingApplePro pitted the iPhone X against the OnePlus 5T, and the results were shocking.
The channel didn’t use the typical “lap” format, but the results were still pretty substantial. The OnePlus 5T runs at a near-stock version of Android Nougat, which has had various patches and fixes within the past year. The iPhone X’s iOS 11 was recently released and hasn’t been worked on as much p0st launch. iOS 11 software issues with RAM management really hold this phone back, and hopefully, Apple can figure out a solution.
