If you are still holding a grudge against the admittedly poor release of No Man’s Sky some three-odd years ago, it’s time to let it go. Seriously, just let it go. You’re not cool or edgy for hating things.
No Man’s Sky has shown great improvements over the past two years and this latest update, Beyond, which is scheduled to release on August 14, is another step in a positive direction for the open-world, procedurally generated space exploration title.

After the original Beyond tease, this full trailer gives us a better look at some of the new things coming to the game – while still keeping everything shrouded in a bit of mystery.
We can see what looks like a social space of some sorts in space where ships are parked. I’m assuming this is the port area which will make it easier to play with friends and randoms. There’s also footage of a player running around a planet with other players that seem to be doing their own thing.
Also, and this is probably the most important aspect of the update, you can ride freaking animals. I’m about to set out to find the biggest, baddest mofo on the biggest, baddest planet and ride that mofo into the sunset. Screw everything else.
