Here we are again. Another month, another batch of free games for your PlayStation 4. Ever since Sony stopped offering games for PS3 and Vita the list here seems a lot less impressive, but regardless, free is free.
Remember, to download and play this game you’ll need a PlayStation Plus account. You’ll also need to make sure it is active to access these games in the future.
Free PlayStation Plus games for May 2019
This month, the free offerings offer drastically different experiences, so hopefully, at least one will be worth checking out this month.
What Remains of Edith Finch
If you’re looking for a story experience, What Remains of Edith Finch might be right up your alley. Sometimes, it’s a bit tough to call this a game, but rather an interactive story. It’s a story of sadness and loss as you explore the family house as Edith Finch.
With an interesting art style and gripping story, if you are looking to go along for the ride and not drive the bus, check this one out.
Overcooked!
Looking for a hectic management-style game that works solo or with friends? Overcooked! might be the one for you. As the PlayStation Blog puts it, “With a strong emphasis on teamwork and timing, you’ll need to communicate with each other to chop vegetables, fry steak, stir sauces, plate-up finished meals, and more — all without the kitchen catching fire!”
If you are looking for a great couch-op experience but don’t want to drop any cash on a new game, Overcooked! is definitely worth checking out.
