Rockstar Games shares its first official trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 coming Fall 2017, best on PS4.
However, that trailer came with a bit of a surprise: Rockstar has partnered with Sony to make PlayStation the premier place for Red Dead Redemption 2.
According to a post over on the PlayStation Blog, PS4 players get first access to earn select online content in the vast open world of Red Dead Redemption 2. This isn’t super shocking, considering all the hype Sony had with Grand Theft Auto V‘s remaster and partnering with Sony – but it is interesting to wonder whether Sony had to convince Rockstar or if they naturally chose this path considering their prior successes with the PlayStation brand.
One thing is for certain is that we will see the return of the cowboys next year. I’m excited because I’ve heard Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games of all time, and I’ve never played the first one so I’m anxious to check it out before this sequel shows up in the fall next year.
Of course, just because I’ve got a year to play it before the sequel doesn’t really mean anything, as I went into Halo 5 blind and never played the others. Maybe it’ll hold up for me too. I’m down with outlaws and horse thievery so we’ll see.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely anticipated by all sorts of gamers and the Twitter buzz is still huge, even with this tiny trailer and Nintendo’s morning announcement.
