The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be the company’s slimmest and most slim foldable phone yet, according to new leaks from a trusted source, UniverseIce.

One of the most significant revelations is the device’s dimensions when unfolded: 158.4 x 143 x 3.9 mm.

Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6 mm) and the Galaxy Z Fold SE (157.9 x 142.6 x 4.9 mm), the Fold 7 is not only taller and wider but also significantly thinner.

Its 3.9 mm profile when open marks a notable slimming trend, suggesting Samsung is pushing for more portability and sleekness in its foldable designs.

In addition to its thinner form, the Fold 7 is expected to feature much slimmer bezels than its predecessors.

The inner display is rumored to have just 1 mm bezels, a sharp decrease from the 1.9 mm found on the previous model.

The outer display bezels are also said to shrink to 1.2 mm, promising a more immersive viewing experience.

While the reduced size and bezels are exciting advancements, there’s concern that these changes might impact performance or durability, though that remains to be seen.

While the Fold 7 will reportedly retain a 4,000 mAh battery like its predecessor, the efficiency gains from the anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset could help improve real-world battery performance.

Meanwhile, more promising news surrounds the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is said to feature an upgraded 4,300 mAh battery. (Via: Tom’s Hardware)

This increase addresses one of the major complaints about the Z Flip 6’s battery life, especially when compared to its rivals.

The Fold 7 is rumored to launch in early July, slightly earlier than the Fold 6, with Samsung expected to unveil both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the same event in New York.
