Tinder has just introduced an unusual new feature: an AI-powered game where users can practice flirting with virtual personas.
This move highlights how much the dating landscape is changing, as people increasingly interact with AI instead of real human connections.
The company announced this new feature in a blog post called The Game Game, powered by OpenAI. It allows users to role-play different dating scenarios with an AI bot.
The idea is to help users sharpen their flirting skills by engaging in simulated conversations. To play, users tap the Tinder logo in the app, which launches a deck of cards.
Each card presents a unique AI character and a dating situation, and players must use their voice to respond and flirt their way to a successful match with the bot.
After the conversation, users receive a score based on how well they did, represented by flame emojis. The AI also gives real-time feedback, offering suggestions on how to improve their approach.

For example, if a user is rude or awkward, the bot will gently guide them toward better conversation techniques. Moreover, from the images, it seems like users will get three daily chat sessions.
Tinder emphasizes that the game is meant to be fun and lighthearted rather than a serious dating tool. However, it’s only available for a limited time to US users on iOS.
Tinder’s move to introduce AI flirting comes at a time when AI-driven dating apps are gaining traction.
Other platforms, such as Blush, Teaser, and Rizz, already offer AI-generated romantic interactions. This trend raises concerns about people increasingly turning to AI for companionship instead of building real-life relationships.
Tinder has also been experimenting with other AI features. Last year, it launched an AI-powered photo selection tool to help users choose their best profile pictures.
The company has also hinted at future AI-based tools for finding matches and improving user interactions.
