Ever get tired of being told to “clean your sh*t up”? Well, now you don’t have to with this $399 toilet cleaning robot from Giddel. This throne-scrubber garnered the prestigious TWICE Top Picks Award at CES 2018 and it’s finally available to purchase.
We’ve gotten used to robotic vacuums and moppers, so someone creating a robot to clean one of the most ick-inducing jobs in the home should come as no surprise. Altan Robotech answered the call of nature’s mess, developing the Giddel Toilet Cleaning Robot. It’s battery-powered and perches on the rim to scrub away any unsightly stains automatically.

There will be two versions available
There are two versions, depending on if your toilet is round or elongated, ensuring optimal scrubbing. The robot can clean the underside of the seat, rim and the entirety of the bowl, all while dispensing your anti-bacterial cleanser of choice. When it’s finished, Giddel gets put back into its charging station, ready for the next time you need cleaning duties.
The Giddel robot takes five minutes to get your bowl sparkling clean, which is far less than it takes me to do manually.
Let’s face it, anything you do in that time is better than cleaning the toilet – even if it’s cleaning under the fridge. Can we get a robot to clean the oven and burners next?
