YouTube makes a comeback on Amazon’s Echo Show

Same app, new design.

When the Amazon Echo Show first came out, it had a YouTube feature, which makes sense for almost any device that can play video and connect to the internet. However, Google removed the feature after they found that the show did not comply with all of their terms of use.

Now, it’s back. Adapting to the terms of service, the layout and UI is very different. The app is now much more similar to YouTube’s layout as seen on mobile or desktop. The format is a little wonky, as it has voice integration, but works better as a device application. Still, it’s the app that fans have been asking for.

The Echo Show was originally released on YouTube, so it is nice to see it back home.
