Apple’s foldable MacBook rumored, set for release in 2027

The latest MacBook rumor suggests a foldable MacBook is in the works, and Apple could launch it within three short years. 

The interest in foldable laptops, sporting a larger screen without compromising portability, has been growing for some time. 

While there are a handful of Windows options, there are none for MacBook fans. However, according to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, that disparity is going to end in three short years. 

According to the analyst’s post on X/Twitter, Apple is rumored to be working on a 20-inch foldable MacBook, which will go into mass production in 2027.

There was an older report that suggested Apple could reveal a foldable MacBook in 2025 with an early 2026 launch expectation. 

It seems that date may have been pushed back a bit. However, this is all just speculation. 

MacRumors points out that credible sources like The Elec and Ross Young are also sharing the same schedule, which adds to the credibility of the rumor. 

So, if this is true, the foldable MacBook will feature the biggest display on any Apple laptop so far. 

Kuo also mentioned that the folding MacBook is the only foldable device from the company with a clear development schedule. Meaning we may not see any other foldable products from the company soon.
