The latest post by leaker Unknown21 indicates the next iteration of Apple’s budget-friendly iPhone SE, the iPhone SE 4, will be based on the iPhone 14. The leaker has also revealed some more information about the next SE series iPhone.

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 will likely be unveiled in 2025

Unknown21 has teased the design of the iPhone SE 4, which he says will be based on the iPhone 14, which echoed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s statement from earlier this year.

He added the device will sport a USB-C port, making it the first time Apple is moving away from a Lightning port on iPhone SE. He also noted that the device will have Face ID, debunking the previous rumors that indicated even the new iPhone SE will retain Touch ID

However, the most interesting revelation is that the iPhone SE 4 may also feature an Action Button. Although what we know so far indicates that Apple has reserved the new Action Button only for the iPhone 15 Pro models.

If this information is accurate, Apple is going out of its way to make the iPhone SE a more lucrative purchase, which could turn out badly for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, especially if they skip the Action Button.

That said, the iPhone SE 4 will again feature a single rear camera like the current generation.

However, nothing is set in stone yet. iPhone SE 4 is not expected to launch until 2025. So, we have a long way to go and a lot more rumors to sort through.
