According to Mark Gurman, the new Mail app will also be making its way to the iPads soon, likely with the iPadOS 18.4 update.

According to the latest edition of Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple will soon introduce the new Mail app with the macOS 15.4 update.
In a follow-up Tweet, he also mentioned that the new Mail app will be available on iPads around the same time.
Back in December, Apple introduced the new Mail app to the iPhone with the iOS 18.2 update. However, the app never expanded to Apple’s other platforms.
The new Mail app may also arrive on the iPadOS around the same time
Interestingly, we already saw what the new Mail app would look like on macOS when Apple introduced the M4 Macs in October, which wasn’t a groundbreaking revelation as the company officially unveiled the app at the WWDC.

However, the new Mail app is still not available on MacOS. We even expected the app to be included in the macOS 15.2 update, which it didn’t, and then macOS 15.3 rolled out in December, which only brought Genmoji to macOS.
However, according to Gurman, this could change soon. Apple will likely roll out the new Mail app with the macOS 15.4 update set for April, which will likely enter the beta phase in the coming weeks.
But there’s another, more under-the-radar feature coming in April as well: The Mac will get the upgraded Mail app that uses AI to prioritize messages and sort content into different inboxes. Right now, iPad and iPhone users are able to tap into the feature — which is terrific — but Mac customers have been left behind. That changes with macOS 15.4, I’m told. For those not familiar with the feature: It sorts mail into a primary category, as well as ones for transactions, promotions, updates and all mail.
Additionally, Gurman said that the new Mail app is already available on the iPad, but we don’t know why he said that, as the app is still unavailable on the iPad.
Even the recent iPadOS 18.3 didn’t have the new Mail app, so hopefully, the new app will eventually come to the platform, likely with the iPadOS 18.4, which is also set for an April rollout.
