A sound investment?

The Beats Studio Pro headphones are being lauded for their significant improvements over the previous Studio models.

According to CNET, these fourth-generation headphones feature big changes on the inside, resulting in significantly better headphones. They boast improved sound quality, noise canceling, and ear pad design, offering a very good voice-calling performance.

However, it’s not all sunshine and roses. The Beats Studio Pro headphones lack ear-detection sensors, a feature that most $350 over-ear headphones have.

This means your music doesn’t automatically pause when you take the headphones off and resume when you put them back on.

Despite this, The Verge notes that the headphones’ battery life still tops out at 40 hours with noise cancellation turned off and around 24 hours if you’ve got it on (or are using transparency), which is impressive for wireless headphones in this price range.

Apple and Android compatibility

One of the standout features of the Beats Studio Pro headphones is their excellent compatibility with both Apple and Android devices.

Macworld praises the headphones for their seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, including one-touch pairing, iCloud pairing, and native iOS connection indications.

Android users aren’t left out either, with the headphones supporting Google Fast Pair and offering a Beats app for Android devices.

Sound quality and noise canceling performance

When it comes to sound quality, the Beats Studio Pro headphones are hitting the right notes.

Macworld lauds the headphones for their better sound quality overall compared to AirPods Max, with low-end clarity and punch and noticeably crisper high frequencies.

The adaptive noise canceling quality is also excellent, providing a quieter listening experience.

However, the Beats Studio Pro headphones have a slightly more aggressive sound, which may not be to everyone’s liking. As per CNET, the highs are a little more sculpted, and everything sounds a little more forward, including the mids where voices live.

Final thoughts

Are the Beats Studio Pro headphones worth the $350 price tag? The answer seems to depend on what you’re looking for in a pair of headphones.

If you value seamless Apple and Android integration, improved sound quality, and effective noise canceling, these headphones could be a sound investment.

However, if features like ear-detection sensors are a must-have for you, you might want to shop around a bit more.

While the Beats Studio Pro headphones are a significant improvement over their predecessors, they’re not without their shortcomings.

But as with any piece of tech, it’s all about weighing the pros and cons and deciding what’s most important to you.

So, whether you’re an audiophile, a tech enthusiast, or just someone in search of a solid pair of headphones, the Beats Studio Pro headphones might just be music to your ears.
