If there’s one thing the Nintendo Switch is lacking, it’s definitely a proper a D-Pad. Luckily, you can fix that with one of Hori’s D-Pad controllers which are currently selling for $20 a pop right now.
There’s a catch though. The only options available at this price are for the Mario, Zelda or Pokémon editions, which honestly isn’t entirely a deal breaker or anything. But hey, seeing that they usually sell for $25, this is the best price we’ve seen to date.
Now, keep in mind, you’re only getting one side of the Joy-Con with this purchase, which is the left controller. You’ll get an authentic D-Pad Controller, which is excellent for d-pad intensive titles, where lightning accuracy counts such as NES classics on Nintendo Switch Online and your favorite Nintendo Switch platformers, puzzle, and fighting games.
Another thing to note is that it only works in the portable mode. It’s also officially licensed by Nintendo, which is always nice. Either way, $20 to add a proper D-Pad to your Nintendo Switch is a no-brainer.
