DJI’s most advanced drone isn’t coming to the US—here’s why
The skies are buzzing with excitement as DJI unveils the Mavic 4 Pro, a drone packed with cutting-edge features. But for US enthusiasts, it’s a waiting game.

Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.
Bad news for US drone fans: DJI just unveiled the Mavic 4 Pro, easily its most feature-packed drone yet—but right now, Americans can only watch from the sidelines.
Usually, we’d link to the product page here to give readers an opportunity to learn more about the product. But because of everything going on in the world, mainly the US, the link won’t work if you’re based in the US.
Here, check it out: DJI Official Mavic 4 Pro Product Page. If you clicked the link from an IP based in the United States, it directs you to a standard 404 page. But if you’re living anywhere else in the world, you’ll see a functioning Mavic 4 Pro product page. More on that later.
What’s so special about the Mavic 4 Pro?
- First-ever 360-degree rotating gimbal: Capture smooth, cinematic tilts, rolls, and vertical shots—no DIY rig required.
- Triple-camera array: Includes a new 100MP shooter, and yes, it records crisp 6K/60fps HDR video.
- Monster battery life: 51 minutes on a single charge, putting it at the top of DJI’s consumer charts.
DJI’s Mavic 4 Pro is the brand’s most advanced drone yet.
It boasts a 100MP Hasselblad camera, a 360º rotating gimbal (for true vertical and Dutch angle shots), and pro-level features like 6K/60 HDR video, an “infinity” gimbal, and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance—even at night.
Flight time hits 51 minutes, and pro workflow extras include a rotating mini-LED controller and ultra-fast charging.

Where can you actually buy it?

But for US buyers? Officially, it’s a no-go for now. DJI isn’t even sending demo units to US reviewers, and if you do snag one across the border, forget about warranty service here.
Although they’re officially NOT released in the US, two big camera retailers are/were selling limited stock:
- B&H (NYC):
- Adorama (NYC):
Heads up: The page might sometimes be unreachable in US, shows as out-of-stock or pre-order due to high demand; some are being sold as “pre-order, ships when in stock.” If link fails, call Adorama
These US listings are not authorized US sales, bypass warranty coverage, and may run afoul of customs enforcement. As of mid-May, units are/weren’t shipping instantly, and stock sold out rapidly.
So what’s going on?
DJI blames ongoing tariffs and US Customs headaches for the delay.
Despite this, a couple of US retailers are already quietly listing the Mavic 4 Pro—but with limited support and zero guarantees from DJI.
Bottom line:
If you’re itching for top-of-the-line drone tech in the States, you’ll need to wait—or get creative (and take your chances).
We’ll keep tracking updates, gray-market workarounds, and any changes on the horizon, so check back for the latest if you’ve got your eye on this airborne powerhouse.
