Infected Shelter is a new rogue-lite hack & slash coming to Steam

Nothing quite like fighting the undead in a post-apocalyptic world.

Sometimes, some good senseless fun is all you need from a video game, and if the new trailer for Infected Shelter is anything to go by, it will fill that niche nicely.

From developer Dark Blue Games, Infected Shelter features randomly-generated post-apocalyptic levels and various enemies, weapons, and power-ups. You’ll be able to choose from a range of characters that all have their own unique set of skills and executions. Oh yeah, the title will feature over 50 unique execution animations that, from the video, don’t look to disappoint.

The game can be played alone or with up to three other people in local co-op. No word yet if there will be online multiplayer, however. Thanks to its upgrade system, it also looks to add some longevity to the title by having unlocks that can be used on future playthroughs. There will also be over 150 different blueprints that you can obtain to craft new weapons, clothes, and skills. This is a welcome addition, as it adds some RPG-like elements to the brawler.

Dark Blue Games is no stranger to the scene, with games dating back to 2001. This is their first foray into the ultra-violent, rogue-lite genre, however.

Infected Shelter is scheduled to release Q4 of 2018, so if this is something you’re interested in, don’t forget to go ahead and add it to your Steam Wishlist.
