Ever wanted to know what the Olsen twins would look like if they were genderbent into someone in the throes of a midlife crisis? No? Me neither, but that didn’t stop me giggling like a schoolgirl at this deepfake video where Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson has been AI-inserted onto every Full House cast member.
Okay. Sitting comfortably? Want to see how far the rabbit hole goes? Let’s go!
This deepfake of Nick Offerman into the entire Full House cast is creepy AF
It’s kinda funny that the Olsen twins are still kinda cute, even with a 40-something moustache. It’s like the Aphex Twin video we never asked for, with the childhood-ruining Bob Saget ruining it all over again. Thanks, Bob, I’m off to go bleach my eyeballs, or something.
- Deepfakes are videos created by AI that convincingly show people saying or doing things that they actually didn’t
- The video creator, DrFakenstein, has created deepfake mashups with everyone from Keanu Reeves inserted into a Sesame St episode, Mike Tyson slurring his way through Family Matters, and Kermit the Frog interviewing a very much younger Snoop Dogg.
Anyway, Nick Offerman (the actor who plays Ron Swanson) seems to like the deepfakery of it all, calling it his “career peak” on Twitter. Fantastic.
What do you think? Does this make you excited for the future of deepfake technology (Sorry, Jared)? Let us know down below in the comments or carry the discussion over to our Twitter or Facebook.
