Samsung officially lifted the veil off the Galaxy S25 series, rocking the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, AI features, the new One UI 7, and a slightly more boxy-looking S25 Ultra.

While these are all the usual suspects already expected at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025, the Korean brand ended the event with a bang!

Samsung confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S25 Slim, which has been the talk of the town for months, officially called the Galaxy S25 Edge.

The company also briefly showcased the device, revealing its thin, elegant design and two camera modules on the rear.

Initially, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in select markets, including Korea and the US

Unfortunately, Samsung didn’t confirm any other details about the Galaxy S25 Edge, such as its specs or availability.

Meanwhile, a Samsung South Africa representative told Android Authority that the thin Galaxy S25, i.e., the Galaxy S25 Edge, will be available in select markets. South Korea and the US will be part of the initial launch.

It sounds more like Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 Edge in phases, which means there’s still hope if the device isn’t initially available in your preferred market.

Once again, the Samsung executive didn’t mention anything about the device’s specs or the launch window.

However, previous leaks revealed that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge a few months after the Galaxy S25 series. It will have a thinner 6.4mm profile and a 3,000 mAh to 4,000 mAh battery.

The thin device is expected to pack a 200MP primary camera and a thinner periscope camera module.

That’s it. If the leaks were accurate, we still have a few months before the Galaxy S25 Edge launches, and in the meantime, you can be sure leaks will bring plenty of information ahead of launch.
